Aditi Poddar is from New Delhi. She graduated with a Bachelors in Economics from Pune University and has a postgraduate degree in Economics and Finance from the University of York. Aditi has lived in the UK, Singapore, and Dubai. Most recently, she interned with the United Nations on a post-tsunami recovery and rehabilitation program in Banda Aceh, Indonesia. For the August 2009 Fellowship, Aditi partnered with the Grassroots Development Laboratory in Bagar, Rajasthan where she assisted in the development of social enterprises and sustainable livelihood solutions. Aditi hopes to carry forward her experience at GDL into the field of development policy planning which she wishes to pursue as a career. Aditi is a trained Kathak and Salsa dancer. She also enjoys trekking, scuba diving and photography.
