Website and Technology Manager

Indicorps seeks a self-proclaimed technology wizard to help Indicorps stay on the cutting edge of operating and outreach technology.  The Website and Technology Manager will seek to best utilize the Indicorps’ resources and bring technological efficiency to Indicorps’ operations and recruitment activities. 

Responsibilities include (but are not restricted to):

  • Manage and strengthen Indicorps’ office network and file systems
  • Manage and improve Indicorps’ online presence and use of web tools
  • Train staff to better utilize technology tools
  • Proactively seek out new uses of technology to increase Indicorps’ profile in India and international markets – such as podcasts, social networks, web applications, etc.
  • Manage and update content on Indicorps’ network websites
  • Utilize non-linear video editing suites to develop Indicorps videos
  • Lead internal web and technology development discussions
  • Design and develop solutions for alumni and outreach/ communications purposes
  • Maintain thorough documentation of all programs and procedures
  • Perform other duties and special projects, as assigned

Qualifications

Required

  • BA/BS in a computer-related field with 2 to 5 years experience in web development (informal experience acceptable)
  • Familiar with a variety of technological solutions and applications
  • Familiar with Windows based operating systems and networks
  • Experience with LAMP configurations
  • Proven track record in developing and executing successful technology solutions
  • Fluent in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint , Publisher  and other design software
  • Excellent problem solver who likes to solve problems through technology
  • Strong understanding of online marketing, fundraising, and social networking strategies
  • People-friendly with patience and poise to train beginners on complicated processes
  • Ability to work independently with little to no supervision, yet still be part of a team
  • Articulate with exceptionally strong written, editorial and verbal skills
  • Excellent command of English; fluency in an Indian language strongly preferred, but not required
